Participation as a Mentee is available to members of AFP WNY. Participation as a Mentor is available to members of AFP WNY with demonstrated expertise in fundraising. Participation is contingent upon the identification of an appropriate match.
Mentorships take place for one year, with the details of the interaction determined by the Mentor and Mentee. A mentorship typically involves monthly contact. While there is no charge for this member benefit, at the conclusion of the mentorship, both parties are asked to submit an evaluation of the mentorship.
Volunteer Leadership and Service Opportunities
Membership and participation in AFP brings you the opportunity to share and advance with your professional peers the ethics, high standards, and best practices in fundraising, toward the greater benefit of the local and international community. Providing leadership and board-level service in one’s chapter, strengthens the profession, the professional, and the community. A mentoring program links an experienced professional with those individuals or organizations that are in need of assistance.
